I fixed it.
Stretching your lobes shouldn’t hurt if you do it properly. It might sting or burn a little bit but shouldn’t cause any actual pain; it should be completely and 100% bearable. A proper stretch will “feel like you didn’t even stretch”. Allow 6 months after your piercing initially heals to even begin stretching, wait at least one or more months in between stretches, use a lube, don’t skip sizes, use the proper stretching methods (don’t use silicone to stretch, and don’t use home-made tools or shit like that), wear the proper materials for fresh stretches (stainless steel, titanium, niobium, glass, etc; nothing organic, acrylic or silicone), and if it hurts, stop what you’re doing and downsize.
They may shrink down to a normal size depending on your body and how well you stretched them (if you fuck them up, they’re going to be more permanent). Or they may just shrink down to a smaller gauge size. At the size pictured in the image above, yeah, it more than likely won’t shrink down to a normal size but I decided to change the words to “may shrink down” because I don’t want anyone to think that it’s impossible.
